Visit our website at https://www.golinuxcloud.com/, or any website of ours that links to this privacy notice Engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events Questions or concerns? Reading this privacy notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. 1. Summary of Key Points

This summary provides key points from our privacy notice, you can find more details on each of these points by going through entire Privacy Policy on this page.

  • What personal information do we process? When you visit, use, or navigate our Services, we may process personal information depending on how you interact with GoLinuxCloud and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use.
  • Do we process any sensitive personal information? We do not process sensitive personal information.
  • Do we receive any information from third parties? We do not buy marketing lists or merge offline databases about you. However, analytics and advertising partners (for example Google) and comment infrastructure (GitHub, when you choose to comment) process technical or account-related data on their own systems when those services load or when you sign in — as described in Sections 2 and 3 and in our Cookie Policy.
  • How do we process your information? We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent. We process your information only when we have a valid legal reason to do so.
  • In what situations and with which parties do we share personal information? We may share information in specific situations and with specific third parties.
  • How do we keep your information safe? We have organizational and technical processes and procedures in place to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.
  • What are your rights? Depending on where you are located geographically, the applicable privacy law may mean you have certain rights regarding your personal information.

2. Information collected through this website

2.1 Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information only when you contact us or when you voluntarily use optional features such as comments.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:

  • Contact us by email or our contact form. This is typically limited to your name, email address, and the content of your message.
  • Post a comment on an article that has comments enabled. Comments are powered by Giscus, which uses GitHub Discussions in our public GitHub repository. To post, you sign in with a GitHub account. GitHub (Microsoft Corporation) processes authentication and stores your comment, GitHub username, avatar, and related metadata as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. We do not host that data on our servers — it lives on GitHub under the repository you interact with, and discussion content is public (subject to GitHub's visibility settings for Discussions). If you do not comment, we do not receive your GitHub profile from that flow.

Reading pages without commenting does not require a GitHub account.

2.2 Automatic collection of information

In Short: Technical data is collected automatically by our site delivery stack, analytics tools, and (with your consent where required) advertising partners.

When you visit our website:

  • Our infrastructure / CDN provider may process IP addresses, TLS information, request paths, user agents, and similar log data to deliver pages, mitigate abuse, and keep the service available. We use this on an aggregated or security basis consistent with our Cookie Policy (which lists first-party and strictly necessary items such as bot management where applicable).
  • Google Analytics 4 may collect pseudonymous usage data (for example which pages were viewed, coarse geography, device category, and referrer) as described in Section 3.2. You can refuse non-essential analytics cookies via our cookie consent controls; see the Cookie Policy.
  • Advertising partners (authorized Google AdSense partners AdPushup and AdRecover, and the broader Google ad stack) may process identifiers and usage signals for measurement and, only if you consent, ad personalization — again detailed in the Cookie Policy.

We do not use these tools to collect sensitive categories such as health, political opinion, or government IDs through our own forms.

3. How we measure traffic, search performance, and advertising

3.1 Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor our website's performance and search engine ranking. Unlike on-page analytics, Search Console does not add scripts to our pages. It provides us with aggregated data about how people find our site through Google Search (for example queries and impressions in aggregate). It is not a substitute for the visitor-level measurement described below.

3.2 Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-ENK40BBCT8) to understand which tutorials are read, on what devices, in which broad regions, and via which referrer — so we can improve content and site structure.

Managing analytics: Where we present a cookie consent banner, you can refuse the Analytics category; you can also clear cookies or use browser controls and opt-out tools described in the Cookie Policy. When GA4 runs, Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_ENK40BBCT8 and process pseudonymous identifiers and usage events. Our GA4 property is configured with IP anonymization, ads personalization signals disabled for that property, and beacon transport where supported — see the Cookie Policy for the full cookie list and opt-out options.

GA4 data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred internationally under Google's terms. See Google's Privacy Policy.

3.3 Display advertising

GoLinuxCloud is funded in part by display advertising served through AdPushup and AdRecover (both authorized Google AdSense partners) and the broader Google advertising ecosystem. Those partners may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, and — only if you consent to advertising cookies where required — interest-based personalization.

We do not sell your email address or contact form contents to advertisers. For cookie names, retention, and how to refuse categories, see the Cookie Policy and use Cookie Settings in the site footer where available.

4. Use and processing of collected information

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

  • To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users. We may process your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the requested service.
  • To send administrative information to you. We may process your information to send you details about our products and services, changes to our terms and policies, and other similar information.
  • To operate and improve the website. We use aggregated or pseudonymous analytics to see which content works, fix navigation issues, and plan new tutorials.
  • To fund the Service through advertising. Where permitted, our advertising partners process data to show and measure ads; with your consent where required, they may personalize ads.
  • To enable optional public discussions. If you use Giscus / GitHub to comment, GitHub processes your account and comment data under its own policies; we do not control that processing beyond moderating the repository where discussions are stored.
  • To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual’s vital interest, such as to prevent harm.

5. When and whom do we share your personal information?

In Short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties.

We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:

  • Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • Other users and the public: If you post a comment via Giscus, your comment, GitHub username, avatar, and related metadata are stored in public GitHub Discussions and may be visible to anyone on the web (including via GitHub's own pages and APIs), not only on GoLinuxCloud. We do not operate GitHub; visibility and deletion are governed by GitHub's terms and tools. Do not post secrets, private keys, or personal data you are not willing to expose publicly.

6. How long do we keep your information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

7. How do we keep your information safe?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

8. Do we collect information from Minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at [email protected].

9. Controls for Do-Not-Track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we may inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

10. Do we use cookies and similar technologies?

In Short: Yes — for strictly necessary functions, optional analytics (GA4), optional advertising (with consent where required), and some embeds. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

GoLinuxCloud is a static site built with Hugo, but we still load JavaScript for consent management, Google Analytics 4, advertising, comments (Giscus), and occasionally embedded third-party media. Those components may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies as described in the tables in our Cookie Policy.

How to control this: Use our cookie consent banner (where shown) or Cookie Settings in the footer to refuse non-essential categories; adjust your browser settings; or use industry opt-out tools linked from the Cookie Policy.

11. What is our stance on Third Party Websites

In Short: We are not responsible for the safety of any information that you share with third parties that we may link to or who advertise on our Services, but are not affiliated with, our Services.

The Services may link to third-party websites, online services, or mobile applications and/or contain advertisements from third parties that are not affiliated with us and which may link to other websites, services, or applications. Accordingly, we do not make any guarantee regarding any such third parties, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by the use of such third-party websites, services, or applications. The inclusion of a link towards a third-party website, service, or application does not imply an endorsement by us. We cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of data you provide to any third parties. Any data collected by third parties is not covered by this privacy notice. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other websites, services, or applications that may be linked to or from the Services. You should review the policies of such third parties and contact them directly to respond to your questions.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on GoLinuxCloud, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.

Note that GoLinuxCloud has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Our Website contains links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by us. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites or third-parties. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Website and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that may collect Personal Information.
